The Pastoral Stays Corset is part of a full ensemble with the matching Pastoral Skirt, created as my own interpretation of the costume Marie Antoinette wears at her Petite Trianon opera performance in the film. The cherry toile print in a feminine pinkish-red was designed by me and printed on linen for a provincial feel.
The corset is made with printed linen outer and cotton twill lining, with flat steel boning in the front and back for structure, and high quality a tonic boning in the sides and tabs for flexible comfort.
The skirt features a peplum frill around the waist, 2 sets of bustle straps in 2 different lengths for bustling the front and/or back to your preference, a flat front waist band and elasticated back, and pockets! (Featuring one of the bustle straps worn as a matching choker). Styled here with the Provence Skirt & Palais Pannier.
